There are local business resources to help new and existing businesses. If you need business assistance or if you are thinking about starting a business in Tieton, Yakima County or Washington State, here is a quick reference guide with business reference phone numbers and websites.

Effective December 3, 2020, the City of Tieton has partnered with the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).
Our partnership with BLS allows you one-stop shopping when maintaining or renewing many of your state and city licenses. In addition to filing on paper, you have the option to renew your city license online. New or expanding businesses can also apply for their city license online along with other state and local licenses.

License Renewal
Six weeks before your current license expiration date of January 31st, 2021, BLS will send you a reminder to renew your business license. Follow the instructions on the notice to either renew online or request a paper renewal form. If you mail your renewal, please do so in plenty of time to reach BLS before the expiration date, and include a check for the appropriate amount. If the renewal is received after the expiration date, a late filing fee will be assessed.
The first BLS renewal may be prorated for less than a year in order to change your current city license expiration date to match with the expiration date BLS already has for your business in their system.
