Welcome to Tieton

Welcome to Tieton! Our City enjoys a quiet and friendly atmosphere at the top of the Yakima Valley. Our community is pro business and we have a great local economic development committee that spearheads efforts to attract or grow enterprises in Tieton. Through our collective efforts we have made progress on a number of fronts – we are excited about Tieton’s future.

Our community is a growing visitor destination. Mighty Tieton, an artisan business incubator sponsors art exhibits, antique shows, educational retreats, and special events at its warehouse in town. A collection of nearby wineries, cideries, and gourmet food companies add to Tieton’s appeal. Our citizens are also developing a trail circuit for mountain bikers that complements our outdoor attractions.

We are very proud of our City Square. Local businesses line the four sides of our centrally located Park. The park is used for various events that are held throughout the summer, Tieton Community Days, Quest Camp, and our Farmer’s Market. The Annual Tree Lighting ceremony is sponsored by the local Lion’s Club in December.

The Tieton area enjoys a vibrant business community. Fruit packing operations and local schools are our largest employers. We also have cafes, specialty shops, convenience stores and a range of support services in the City or nearby.

Our City wants to grow and diversify in new directions. Towards this end we have a variety of existing store fronts and buildings that can meet the needs of new or expanding businesses. We also have a number of commercial sites for companies that want to build a new store or facility.

On our website you can learn more about some of the local resources available to business. You will also a directory of local merchants and a host of demographic and economic information for Tieton and the surrounding area. Hopefully these resources help you learn more about our community. Sincerely,

Stan Hall
